Target Users

This event will bring together new talents to the aviation industry for two days of intense collaboration and creativity. Participants will have the opportunity to tackle the industry’s digitalization challenge, featuring a 24-hour coding session to tackle proposed ATM-related challenges.

Whether you’re a seasoned developer, a budding entrepreneur, or simply passionate about technology, the Engage 2 Hackathon promises to be an unforgettable experience. We look forward to seeing you in Madrid!

FAQs

Who can join?

The event is aimed at young professionals and students on the aviation field. Employees or affiliates of any of the entities within the Engage 2 consortium and subsidiaries, and/or SESAR JU are excluded from the event.

What are the costs of participating?

Registration for the event is free of charge. The Organiser will provide accommodation and meals as outlined within the agenda of the Competition. Travel costs to and from the venue, as well as food and drink outside the venue must be covered by the participants.

Do I need a team to join?

Yes, teamwork is one of the main pillars of this type of events. At the same time, the work load would be too great for a single individual, so participating alone is not feasible. Registration should be done by the group leader and include each team member’s information. Teams must be 2-4 members.

Can I participate remotely?

This Competition is an important opportunity to meet new people in the context of the aviation industry, so we want to encourage on-site participation. All participants must be present on-site for the entire duration of the event.

What do I need to bring?

The Organiser will provide office supplies. In addition to that, each team will need:

  • At least one computer.

  • Any other software/hardware or tools they consider necessary for coding.
Can we use any external data?

No. Only the data provided by the Organiser is valid for the Competition.
